The protection of your personal data is of utmost concern to PACO-PACO.
In these terms and conditions on data protection PACO-PACO would like to inform you about how PACO-PACO treats your personal data and how you can exchange this data with other users of PACO-PACO. 1. Basic Principles of PACO-PACO in treating your Personal Data PACO-PACO strictly adheres to the following basic principles in the protection of your Personal Data: - PACO-PACO shall collect, process and use your Personal Data in accordance with the laws and statutes on data protection of the Federal Republic of Germany and those of the European Union.
- PACO-PACO shall use your Personal Data solely to provide the PACO-PACO-Services of PACO-PACO on the Internet for which you have registered yourself. In no event shall PACO-PACO pass your Personal Data on to any third party, neither for advertising, marketing nor for any other purposes.
- With the exception of some general Personal- and Company information you decide all for yourself which of your Personal- and Company Data you have delivered to PACO-PACO may be displayed by PACO-PACO to other members of PACO-PACO (cf. Section 3).
2. Definitions
The following terms used in these Terms and Conditions on Data Protection shall have the following meaning:
- "Personal Data" shall mean all data and/or information about your profession or your person.
- "PACO-PACO-Members" shall mean all registered users of PACO-PACO on the PACO-PACO-Website.
- "PACO-PACO-Services" shall mean all registration based services offered by PACO-PACO on the PACO-PACO-Website.
- "Registration Data" shall mean such Personal and Company Data you must deliver to PACO-PACO in the registration process for the PACO-PACO-Services (mandatory fields).
- "Profile Page" shall mean the PACO-PACO-Website on which the Personal Data you have delivered to PACO-PACO is displayed in accordance with your specifications and your consent.
3. What does PACO-PACO know of you, what do you allow PACO-PACO to do, and what happens with your Personal Data?
3.1 Registration Data
In order for the PACO-PACO-Services to function, PACO-PACO needs to collect and process certain of your Personal Data in the course of the registration process. First of all, this consists of the following data:
- User name
- E-mail Address
- First Name
- Last Name
- Password
- Company Name
- Country
The following mandatory fields are not visible to any of the PACO-PACO-Members at any time. In no event shall PACO-PACO disclose or pass this data on to any third party.
- E-Mail Address (Exception: The use of the E-Mail functionality within the PACO-PACO -Services by PACO-PACO-Members)
- Password
The following mandatory Personal Data is accessible to other PACO-PACO-Members without any restrictions:
- First Name,
- Last Name
- Username
- Company Name
- Country
With respect to the following mandatory Personal Data, you may choose if the data shall be displayed on your personal profile and on the user lists to the PACO-PACO-comunity:
- Website
- Function - Position
- Telephone
- Fax
- Business Type
- Business Language
- Industry
- Address
- Zip Code
- City
3.2 Your Profile Page, Contact Management
All other PACO-PACO-Members may access your Profile Page and view the information displayed on the Profile Page, including such Voluntary Data you have specified to be accessible to all other PACO-PACO-Members.
Other PACO-PACO-Members may send private messages to you in order to establish contact with you.
3.3 Business Listing to the Business Directory
In addition, PACO-PACO-Members have the option of adding a company/business listing to the business directory. All business listings are public; hence all business data are visible to all non-members of PACO-PACO (the E-mail address is not visible). Business listings contain the following data. The only mandatory field is the company name. - Company name (mandatory field)

- Company's Logo
- Address
- City
- Postcode
- Country
- Telephone
- Fax
- E-mail (will not be published on the PACO-PACO site)
- Number of employees
- Dependencies
- References
- Line of business
4. Availability of your Profile Page to Non-Members of PACO-PACO
PACO-PACO has preset the settings to your privacy for the protection of your privacy per default to the effect that your Profile Page is not available to non-members of PACO-PACO and that your Profile Page is not traceable for search engines on the Internet.
5. Forums
On the PACO-PACO-Website, PACO-PACO offers certain forums and similar services (collectively hereinafter referred to as the "forums").
Each forum has one (1) or more moderator(s). The moderator decides for each forum who has read and/or write access for each relevant forum. This information will be displayed on the PACO-PACO-Website for the relevant forum. It is visible to PACO-PACO-Members and it may also be visible to non-members of PACO-PACO, dependent on the specifications by the moderator.
Please note that all contributions of PACO-PACO-Members to such a forum can be read by all other PACO-PACO-Members, and these contributions are then also accessible to non-members of PACO-PACO on the Internet without any restrictions. PACO-PACO supports the RSS-standard. RSS-readers are programs with which actualizations of an Internet website can be traced, if the Internet website technically supports the so called RSS-standard. With regard to Internet forums supporting the RSS-standard the RSS-reader may trace if and which new articles have been published at which time.
6. Search Functions
The PACO-PACO-Services offer various possibilities for the search of specific other PACO-PACO-Members, including a power search function and a User List. The search functions also help you to initiate contact with other PACO-PACO-Members.
7. Newsletter
PACO-PACO regularly sends out newsletters e-mails to all PACO-PACO-Members. You may choose to unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time under the link "Newsletter Subscribe" in the User Menu.
8. Cookies
After you have logged in to the PACO-PACO-Services with your user name and password, PACO-PACO uses cookies in order to identify you during the course of your session. One cookie will be stored on your computer. Upon the termination of your session the cookie will be automatically deleted. You may maintain this cookie on your computer for an automatic login to subsequent sessions by activating the function: "remember me". Any so maintained cookie contains part of your login data in encrypted form. If you choose automatic login, please be aware that an automatic login will then only be possible on the very computer on which the cookie was first maintained, i.e. an automatic login on two (2) different computers is then not possible.
9. Log Files
In each event you demand access to a website of the PACO-PACO-Website, PACO-PACO shall save the following data in a log file (the so called "server log"):
- Your IP address (through which your computer may be clearly identified),
- The name and IP address of the computer which demands the relevant page of the PACO-PACO-Website (the so called "remote host computer"),
- The time, status, and amount of the transferred data, as well as the Internet website from which you have reached the demanded page of the PACO-PACO-Website (the so called "referrer")
- The product and release information of your Internet browser (the so called "user agent").
This log file will be stored by PACO-PACO in the standardized "combined" log file format of the Apache webserver. PACO-PACO uses the data of this log file in anonymous form without reference to your person for statistical purposes. In doing so, PACO-PACO may analyze on which days and at which time the PACO-PACO-Services are particularly frequented and how much data volume is created on the PACO-PACO-Website. Further, by using the log file, PACO-PACO can identify certain defects of the PACO-PACO-Website, such as defective hyperlinks or program defects, and thus continuously improve the quality of the PACO-PACO-Website. PACO-PACO does not attribute the website demands stored in the log file to the person of specific users. However, PACO-PACO reserves the right to review the log files via the last known IP address with respect to such an PACO-PACO-Member of whom PACO-PACO has reasonable cause to believe that the member uses the PACO-PACO-Services in breach of the contractual agreements or applicable law. By doing so, PACO-PACO protects the other PACO-PACO-Members, the safety of the data of the PACO-PACO-Members, as well as the PACO-PACO-Website and the PACO-PACO-Services.
10. Changes to these Terms and Conditions on Data Protection
PACO-PACO reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions on Data Protection, in the event this is necessary due to gaps of these Terms and Conditions on Data Protection identified only after their release, or in the event this is necessary with respect to additional or amended services provided by PACO-PACO. PACO-PACO will notify you of any amendments of these Terms and Conditions on Data Protection by e-mail to the e-mail account you have provided to PACO-PACO in the course of your registration.
